The mobile network operator made in a Facebook post early Sunday said efforts are ongoing to restore all connection. “We are extremely sorry for the trouble you have faced in accessing our network. “We understand how important remaining connected is for your personal and business needs and your frustration is completely justified. “We are working tirelessly to restore all connection, as we have also made some progress. Kindly restart your phone if you’re still experiencing a downtime,” the post read. While the disruption affected calls, and and the internet, telecom subscribers lamented how it has affected them negatively. In the midst of the network outage on Saturday, MTN Nigeria on its Facebook page, said, “Some of our customers are having difficulty connecting to the network today. We’re looking into this and are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused.” The downtime came days after Facebook and its subsidiaries had the same issue, sending panic waves across the world. Although, the telecom network had been restored, some users still complained of not being able to access their network. The telecom operator however advised its over 70 million subscribers to restart their phones if they are still experiencing a downtime.
